Amy's Story
Life
Hi, everyone! It's hard to believe how much time has gone by since we all graduated!
Well, in 1993 I married my husband, Brad Van Hyning. We lived in Yorktown, VA from 1993 - 1995 while Brad finished his serve in the military. I graduated from ECPI College of Technology in Hampton, VA in 1994, majoring in Medical Computer Administration. I then went to work for Sentara Hampton General Hospital as a secretary and transcriptionist.
After Brad's service in the Navy, we lived in Gloucester, MA from 1995 - 1996, where I worked for a local hospital there doing medical transcription in their radiology department. We definitely experienced a culture shock living in New England, especially when we were used to living in a very friendly, southern commonwealth like Virginia.

ere our first son, Ethan Bradley, was born. We moved to Parma, OH in 1997. Our second son, Noah Michael, was born in 2000. In June 2007 we moved to Montville Township in Medina County. Since living in the Cleveland area I have worked for Ctrac Computer Services in Strongsville and Interactive Payer Network in Mayfield, doing data entry work both part-time and full-time. I then transcribed for Beachwood Orthopedic & Physical Medicine. Now I'm finally doing what I've always wanted -- transcribing from home. I work for Franklin & Seidelmann and so far it's been great! Brad has worked for Swagelok Company in Solon since 1996.
I spend what little spare time I have researching my family history. I'd love to hear from old classmates, too. I attended our 10-year reunion and I still can't believe how much everyone changed!
Wishing all of you the best!
